On entering our doors at SALON104 we set the stage, greeting you with the diffused aromas of the day, designed to transport you into our world. Emphasis is on sensory relaxation, clean product lines, comfort and mental calmness.
Our reception room is where you feel at home, designed to be cozy and comfortable. Welcome to our home vibe! Relax, have a beverage, settle in and decompress.
We take great pride in our space, especially designed and built for the artists to deliver optimum results comfortably and efficiently. A spacious environment free of unnecessary clutter.
At SALON104 Hair Studio, we created an open and neutral space where energy is positive, and the mood is calm and mellow. Best described as a modern high-end, edgy, progressive salon. A place where stylists/artists are at ease to create comfortably and freely.
Our stylists are independent and champions of their skills. Our Salon encourages communication and interactions; We offer an ongoing opportunity to learn from and support one another, offering our clients a unique experience with an ideal outcome.
We believe a superb hair service experience should be fun, engaging and relaxing. We encourage friendly community interaction between stylists and clients.
Frances Ablack
OWNER / MANAGER / STYLIST
Fran believes in being your best self. “Authentically You” is the way to live your finest life! With over 2 decades experience in the beauty industry her skills are diverse and unique.
Investing considerably in her education and advancement over the years from New York, Miami, Toronto, Vancouver and more brings a larger, more progressive skill set to her clients. Working as an educator, stage artist, makeup artist, mentor, and notable member on Artistic Teams of other known Salons Fran has seen it all.
Developing a keen sense of vision and style interpretation along with a wealth of knowledge combined with her creativity has resulted in the successful stylist she is today. A certified colourist with a passion and enjoyment for the technical and scientific element of colour creativity and transformations is what drives her in her business.
A warm, easy way of communicating and connecting with people along with her diverse skill set has given her the loyalty and incredible bonds she has with her clients. There is a “quirky and playful” side to her personality, sometimes breaking into song or a little dance at her styling-chair. Living in, and enjoying the moment and encouraging others to do the same is her belief.
Described as forthright in both her professional and personal life, there is no guessing with her. She is really living her best life!
Rasika Magarasingam
STYLIST
Rasika has a bubbly happy personality and is always wearing a smile. She enjoys expressing her creativity through colour by re-creating clients and exploring expression through fun and fabulous colours and edgy designs. She has a competitive nature and rises to any challenge.
Rasika has competed in Skills Alberta and placed 3rd, with her skills and creative interpretation. She was inspired and motivated to pursue her passion from positive encouragement from others who recognized her talents. She strives to bring out the best in her clients and loves the excitement of creating a new fresh style.
In her downtime she is quite mellow. Rasika enjoys socializing with her friends, shopping and loves all things sparkly. She likes to crochet, cook and makes time for her favourite sport, “Napping”, Rasika is motivated by her passion for hair and strives to excel at her skills everyday.
Our services together with our customized comforts and atmosphere adds a certain “je ne sais quoi” to your Salon experience. When you’re at our Salon you will enjoy warmth, friendliness and ease in a safe and professional environment.
